Tongwei Solar (Hefei) Co., Ltd.
As a wholly-owned holding company of Tongwei Co., Ltd., Tongwei Solar (Hefei) Co., Ltd. was put into operation on November 18, 2013 with a total scale of 5GW. It is a state high-tech enterprise integrating PV manufacturing, R&D, application, production and sales, which specializes in manufacturing of solar cells and modules. With a registered capital of RMB 2.15 billion, Tongwei Solar (Hefei) Co., Ltd. covers an area of 667,000 m2 in Hefei High-tech Zone, known as the “First City of PV Application in China”.
The cell capacity and module capacity in Heifei Base Phase I reach 2.4GW and 350MW respectively. The base has 5 poly cell production workshops comprising 40 cell production lines and 1 module production workshop with top-ranking technology and production indices in PV industry. After Phase II project (2.3GW) is completed, total solar capacity in Hefei Base will exceed 5GW. On November 8, 2017, the 10GW high-effective crystalline silicon cell project was launched here.
II. Tongwei Solar (Chengdu) Co., Ltd.
Tongwei Solar (Chengdu) Co., Ltd.
Tongwei Solar (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned holding company of Tongwei Solar (Hefei) Co., Ltd. Its 5GW high-effective crystalline silicon cell project in Shuangliu District covers 800,000 m2 with total investment of RMB 6 billion. Phase I production line project of 1GW high-effective crystalline silicon cell attracts a total investment of RMB 1 billion, and its construction period lasts for as short as 7 months from November 18, 2015 to June 30, 2016, being praised as “Tongwei Speed”, “Shuangliu Speed” and “Chengdu Speed” by mainstream media. This Project also becomes a demonstration project in global PV industry for rapid completion, put-into-operation, reaching of capacity and profiting.
Initiated on February 18, 2017, the production line project of 2GW high-effective crystalline silicon cells in Phase II was completed in 7 months later on September 20, 2017, refreshing the construction period again for the capacity scale and work amount are both doubled. In addition, the production line in Phase II has been updated to fully-automatic unmanned production, making it a model project for “smart manufacturing” in Chengdu. Moreover, it has taken the lead in digital workshops, intelligent factories and local manufacturing of clean energy in Chengdu. As the largest production base (in terms of monomer scale) for crystalline silicon cell around the world, it is actively building a national demonstration base for smart manufacturing in China. On November 18, 2017, the 10GW high-effective crystalline silicon cell project was kicked off in Chengdu Base.
