1. Hefei Base
Hefei base was put into operation on November 18th , 2013 in the High-tech Zone, Hefei City, Anhui Province. The first phase of the Anhui project was completed on January 8th, 2019. Phase II of Hefei base finished construction on January 8, 2019. This project fully adopts Rear Passivation technology and features in high efficiency mono-crystalline silicon cell unmanned manufacturing, smart factory and digitalized workshop, which will further increase efficiency and boost profitability and consolidate the leading place in high efficiency crystalline silicon solar cell production.
2. Shuangliu Base
Shuangliu Base is located in Shuangliu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. The first phase was completed and put into operation on June 30th, 2016. The construction period took only 7 months. It was praised by mainstream media for creating "Tongwei Speed", "Shuangliu Speed" and "Chengdu Speed"，becoming a model demonstration project that is fast in construction, production, and gaining profit.
The second phase was completed and put into operation on September 20th, 2017. With the production capacity and engineering volume doubling, the construction complete period only took 7 months, which refreshed the construction speed. The second-phase production line has been upgraded to fully automatic unmanned manufacturing, becoming a model project of "intelligent manufacturing" in Chengdu, taking the lead in realizing digital workshops and intelligent factories, realizing clean energy "Made in Chengdu", and actively building a national intelligent manufacturing demonstration base. The third phase was completed and put into operation on November 18th, 2018, and the actual construction period was only 6 and a half months. The project fully adopts the PERC technology, focuses on the unmanned intelligent manufacturing route of high-efficiency monocrystalline cells, builds intelligent factories and digital workshops, and has become a high-efficiency photovoltaic industry leader in process technology, production equipment, automation and intelligence in the current global photovoltaic industry.
The fourth phase was completed and put into operation on November 18th, 2019, with a construction period of only 7 months. The project was started in the same year, constructed in the same year, and put into production in the same year. It has once again refreshed the global record for the production capacity of a single workshop. It is a crystalline silicon cell workshop with leading technology, production lines, automation and intelligence. It is also an intelligent factory in the global photovoltaic industry and a sample project for a digital workshop. The project has a total of 16 fully enclosed automatic production lines for intelligent manufacturing of high-efficiency crystalline silicon cells, all of which produce large-sized cells with lower production costs and higher wattage per cell. They are all composed of automatic grasping robotic arms and intelligent transportation robots, adding new momentum to TW Solar's intelligent, digital, modern and refined management.
3. Meishan Base
TW Solar Meishan Base is located in Ganmei Industrial Park, Meishan City, Sichuan Province. On January 25th, 2019, the Meishan Government, the Ganzi Government and TW Group held the signing ceremony of the TW High-tech Green Industrial Park Project and the 10GW High-efficiency Crystalline Silicon Cell Project. On March 27th, 2019, the construction of the crystalline silicon cell project started On April 21st, 2020, the first phase of the project was completed and put into operation, and construction of the second phase of the project started simultaneously. The Meishan project only took 36 days from the beginning of the contact between the two parties to the finalization of the investment, only 50 days for the official signing, and only 110 days for the official start of construction, creating a new "Tongwei Speed" and "Ganmei Speed" for project investment.
On February 28th, 2021, the first cell of the Phase II project of the Meishan Base officially rolled off the production line. The Phase II project covers an area of 160,000 square meters, with a workshop area of 80,000 square meters. There are 16 fully automatic closed high-efficiency intelligent production lines. With the continuous advancement of product technology and manufacturing process, the crystalline silicon cell production line will be more automated, intelligent and digital in the second phase, which will provide a strong boost to the photovoltaic industry and drive the rapid transformation of human energy use. With its completion and commissioning, Tongwei Solar's Meishan base has a production capacity of 15GW, further consolidating its status as a leading solar cell company in Tongwei.
4. Jintang Base
The Jintang base is located in Huaikou Town, Jintang County, Chengdu. The 30GW high-efficiency crystalline silicon cell and supporting projects will be implemented in phases, and will be gradually completed and put into production in the next 3-5 years. More than 5,000 people have been employed, and the annual tax revenue is about 2 billion yuan. The first phase of the 6.6GW project started construction on March 25, 2020, and the first cell was rolled out in May 2021.
Tongwei will use the Jintang project as a pilot project to actively carry out the application of 5G in the field of industrial Internet, build the Jintang project into a model of 5G+ advanced manufacturing, and rely on the Tongwei industrial manufacturing scene to promote the construction of a photovoltaic green smart town. The Jintang project will make full use of Chengdu as the bridgehead of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the locational logistics advantages of the China-Europe freight train, and the advantages of hydropower, etc., to build a major production base in Chengdu that radiates the western region of China and the export of photovoltaic products to the European market. After full production, it will provide important industrial support for the high-quality development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
5. Tonghe project
The Tonghe project is jointly invested and constructed by Tongwei Solar and Trina Solar. The total area of the project is around 920 mu, with an investment of 6 billion yuan. It will build an annual output of 15GW high-efficiency crystalline silicon cells and a 15GW chip supporting production base. Tonghe New Energy will give full play to the leading advantages of Tongwei Solar and Trina Solar in all aspects of the industrial chain, further strengthen the strategic partnership, and create a new industry development pattern featuring professional division of labor, dislocation development, and cooperation and mutual benefit.
Tonghe New Energy started construction in early April 2021. The first silicon wafer of the slicing project was rolled off the production line on October 28th, 2021, and the first cell of the solar cell project was rolled off the production line on November 10, 2021. After Tonghe New Energy is fully put into production, it is estimated that the annual sales revenue will be 12 billion yuan, and the annual tax payment will be 300 million yuan. Tonghe New Energy is the joint and integrated layout of TW Solar and Trina Solar, and it is also an important means to realize the supply of raw materials and the stability of the industrial chain, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and expand global market share.
